Villa Teratai Protem Comittee

Dear Villa Teratai Resident,

The pro-tem committee has has a meeting on the 26/08/2009 and agreed on the following items:


  1. To register with ROB for our Bank Account while waiting for for our ROS (Registrar of Society)to be approved. Result as of today, ROB has approved and we can now use the name 'Ukay Villa Teratai Enterprise'. Next step is to open a bank account by early next week.

  2. Agreed to proceed with Security Guard Service starting on the 6th September 2009 and to appoint CF Security Service Sdn Bhd to take up the task due to lowest bidder (at RM3.80 per hour) compared to RM4.50. The monthly fee that we have to pay for the guard service is about RM5841.36 a month. Residents would need to pay RM100 / house / month.

  3. Collection of RM200 to start immediately and date line of payments to appointed collectors is the 15th September 2009. The collectors are divided into lanes as follows:
    - UP 5/2 - Badrul (House # 24)
    - UP 5/3 - Lai (House # 28) & Emilio (House # 36)
    - UP 5/4 - Elias (House # 34), Shawal (House # 12) and Murza (House # 47)
    - UP 5/5 - Khairul (House # 7) & Zack (House # 41)

    All payments will be issued with an official receipt and the account holders are Lai, Elias and Shawal.

  4. Please make payments to the above 'collectors' (at their homes) and can be made by cash or Cheque (address cheque to 'Ukay Villa Teratai Enterprise')

State government to release Bukit Antarabangsa findings on Friday

THE findings of the Bukit Antarabangsa investigation will be released on Friday after the reports are submitted to the state government a day earlier.

Selangor Mentri Besar Tan Sri Khalid Ibrahim said the team, comprising officers from different departments and government agencies and three consultants, would finalise its reports on Thursday and it would be officially made known at Taman Mewah, one of the five areas affected by the Bukit Antarabangsa landslide.

Khalid, who was speaking at the launch of the Program Remaja Belia Perdana Negeri Selangor (PReBP) at the Kolej Universiti Islam in Bandar Seri Putra, Bangi, said the team was working on demarcating areas that were badly affected by the landslide.

MPAJ trucks begin carting away debris from ground zero

TRUCKS from the Ampang Jaya Municipal Council (MPAJ) made more than 120 trips yesterday to clear debris from ground zero at Bukit Antarabangsa.

Ampang Jaya OCPD Asst Comm Abdul Jalil Hassan said if the workers found valuables in the rubble, the truck would send the load to an open space near the Riverdale Park apartments.

Some 70 people in danger zone refuse to evacuate

Some 2,000 people are still cut off. They included those living in Taman Bukit Utama, Taman Bukit Jaya and the Casa Del Sol, Kyoto Gardens and Oakland condominiums. Water supply has been restored to these areas but they still do not have electricity.

DCP Khalid said they had been provided with food and drinks.

Yesterday evening, the army managed to construct a temporary bridge over a monsoon drain, enabling those trapped to drive out of the area.

Police have set up hotlines at 03-41070055 and 03-41086321 for friends and family to call and provide information to the authorities.
